We are a motivated, growing team of expert engineers, scientists and professionals committed to building a greener world. The energy sector is a significant contributor to global warming, as fossil fuels are relied upon to achieve the ultra-high temperatures required for thermal and industrial processes.
It is our mission to decarbonise these processes so that global emissions targets can be reached by 2050. Over the past 10 years our leading engineers and scientists have developed cutting-edge high temperature thermal energy storage technology to do this. Explore our journey below.
In May 2023, IMANI ONGD spun out from the University of Edinburgh and secured £3.6 million in grant funding from the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero to build a full-scale demonstrator at Annandale Distillery. Since then, we have continued to grow and continue to add to our list of industries transitioning to the decarbonisation solution.
Design and development of IMANI ONGD’s first-of-a-kind thermal energy storage technology continues as part of the delivery of the Government funded demonstrator project at Annandale Distillery.
The demonstrator project at Annandale Distillery enters the installation, commissioning and operational phases.
